Influence of Non-periodic Induction on AC Magnetostriction.

This paper describes ac magnetostriction (λ ac) after the application of non-periodic induction in the easy and hard magnetization directions. The deviation of λ ac is larger after application of non-periodic induction than after demagnetization by ac induction under a compressive force of 3 MPa without tension coating.In the hard magnetization direction, the deviation after the application of non-periodic induction is smaller than in the easy magnetization direction, and less influenced by the compression. Domain observation suggests that domain patterns are occasionally different after application of non-periodic induction.
