Heavy metal ion adsorbent of glycine grafted crosslinked chitosan microsphere

2012
The invention discloses a heavy metal ion adsorbent of a glycine grafted crosslinked chitosan microsphere. The heavy metal ion adsorbent of the glycine grafted crosslinked chitosan microsphere adopts the structure that a chitosan is used as an initial raw material; the glutaraldehyde is subjected to crosslinking to obtain a microsphere; and then a glycine is used for performing grafting on the crosslinked microsphere. In the invention, the crosslinking of the glutaraldehyde increases the stability of chitosan molecules, enhances the adsorptive selectivity of heavy metals, increases the adsorption capacity and strengthens the adsorption stability; and the introduction of the glycine can increase the number of holes on the surface of the microspheres, and can significantly reduce the influence on the pH value in the adsorption process.
