HUBUNGAN ANTARA KESEJAHTERAAN SPIRITUAL DENGAN KECEMASAN PADA PASIEN PRA BEDAH MAYOR DI RSUD TUGUREJO SEMARANG

Surgery is a medical action that can lead to a decrease in spirituality so that the patient does not feel his spiritual well-being. Patients who experience a decreased spiritual level, will affect the patient's calm that can increase anxiety. This study aims to determine the relationship between spiritual welfare with anxiety in patients with major surgery. This research is a quantitative descriptive correlation research with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling with a sample size of 67 respondents. Data analysis used a Spiritual Well-Being Scale (SWBS) questionnaire and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The analysis results showed that 53.7% of respondents had high spiritual welfare and for anxiety 58.2% of respondents did not experience anxiety. The statistical test shows the relationship between spiritual welfare and anxiety in the major preoperative patients (p = 0.001) and the value of r = -0.792 which means there is a strong and unidirectional relationship or an inverse relationship, where the higher the spiritual welfare the lower the anxiety level or vice versa. The results of this research can be used as the basis of nurses to always assess the level of anxiety patients to provide assistance accomplishment and spiritual enhancement and motivation and spiritual strengthening of pre-surgical patients major.
