Aeolian Vibration and Its Suppression Methods of Long Crossing Span Overhead Electric Transmission line

As the large-scale construction of AC-DC power grid project, the long crossing span projects of overhead electric transmission lines are increasing dramatically. Due to the particularity of the long crossing span project, the wind induced vibration has become one of the main factors threatening its structure safety. In this paper, the research progress of wind induced vibration of long crossing span conductor is summarized, the commonly used suppression schemes for wind induced vibration in the existing long crossing span projects are compared and the challenges in the research of wind induced vibration and its suppression are discussed. This paper is of great importance in engineering meaning to the systematic research of the wind induced vibration characteristics and anti-vibration technologies of long crossing span lines, to the comprehensive improvement of the design level of long crossing span lines against the wind induced vibration and to the protection of the safe and stable operation of power grid.
