Peptidyl chloromethyl ketones and diazomethyl ketones as protease affinity labels

Described are chemical preparations and biochemical uses of chloromethyl and diazomethyl ketones as protease affinity labels. Uses of these ketones for substrate selectivity studies, enzyme inhibition, and enzyme mechanisms are discussed for thrombin, kallikrein, and thiol proteases. (DLS)
