Study on Characteristics of Soil Infiltration of Different Forest Types in Limestone Mountainous

2011
The soil infiltration characters were observed in seven different forest types of limestone mountainous by the method combined with field measurement and laboratory analysis. The different forest types were analyzed in order to know which had the best amelioration of soil infiltration capability. The results showed that:(1)Soil infiltration capacity in different forest types were better than that in bare land, and the initial infiltration rate of the mixed with Acer truncatum and Platycladus orientalis, the mixed with Gleditsia triacanthos and Platycladus orientalis, the mixed with Pinus thunbergii Parl.and Platycladus orientalis, the pure of Acer truncatum, the pure of Gleditsia triacanthos, the pure of Platycladus orientalis and the pure of Pinus thunbergii Parl.were 1.86,1.80,1.79,1.65,1.63,1.48,1.42 times respectively, while the steady infiltration rate were 3.03,2.95,2.94,1.95,1.81,1.28,1.28 times respectively.(2)The Horton infiltration model was better accommodative to the limestone mountainous, according to the Horton model, the power function model and Philip model parameters.(3)Soil infiltration and soil bulk density were inversely related, while it was positively correlated with soil porosity and the capillary porosity. And the relation between soil infiltration and the capillary porosity was more significantly.
