Thermal Simulation and Optimization Study for Magnetic Coupler of Static Electric Vehicle Wireless Power Transfer Systems

When the static wireless charging system works for a long time, the heating of the magnetic coupler will bring adverse effects on the stability, safety and other aspects of the system. In this paper, the heating of magnetic coupler under SAE standard is studied by simulation software. The temperature variation and distribution of coil, magnetic core and aluminum plate are simulated. On this basis, the optimization scheme of the magnetic coupler is presented from the perspective of thermal design.
