The invention relates to a heat-resisting steel metallographic polishing etching agent. The heat-resisting steel metallographic polishing etching agent is characterized in that a high alloy heat resistant steel sample is firstly polished, the surface of the polished high alloy heat resistant steel sample is repeatedly scrubbed for 5-10 seconds by using an absorbent ball to dip in the heat-resisting steel metallographic polishing etching agent so as to carry out chemical polishing and etching, and a microcosmic metallographic structure is displayed, and the obtained metallographic microstructural sample is observed, photoed and evaluated under an optical metallographic microscope. The polishing etching agent comprises the following raw materials in parts by volume: 22.5-27.5 parts of distilled water, 13.5-16.5 parts of hydrogen peroxide, 0.9-1.1 parts of a hydrofluoric acid, and 4.5-5.5 parts of a hydrochloric acid. The heat-resisting steel metallographic polishing etching agent provided by the invention has the advantages that formula is scientific and reasonable, a preparation method is simple and practicable, a technology process of the high alloy heat-resisting steel metallographic detection is simplified, the metallographic detection efficiency of the high alloy heat-resisting steel is improved, meanwhile, the display of a high alloy heat-resisting steel metallographic structure is not influenced, and the metallographic structure is distinct and pseudophase-free.
