Apparatus and method for mobile routing

A mobile routing apparatus and a method thereof regardless of an IP version are provided to supply a mobility to an IPv4(Internet Protocol version 4) regardless of an IP version by supplying a dual stack mobile router. A personal IP address setting unit(131) sets up the personal IP address to an IPv4 terminal which a mobile router manages. A representative IP address setting unit(132) sets up the home address of the mobile router as the representative IP address of the mobile router. An IP address converter(133) converts the address of the IPv4 packet received to the mobile router based on a mapping table of the representative IP address and personal internet protocol address. A packet transfer uni transmits the IPv4 packet including the transformed address. An IPv6 packet handler module processes the IPv6 packet which the mobile router receives.
