Observation of the effects of traditional chinese medicine “Eye-Brighter” on patients with central serous retinopathy

Objective:To investigate the effect of the traditional Chinese medicine called “Eye Brighter” on patients with central serous retinopathy (CSR).Methods:102 patients with CSR were randomly divided into two groups: Group A (56 cases) was treated with “Eye Brighter” and Group B (46 cases) was treated with Western medicine. Visual acuity, retinal appearance and FFA were clinically measured in all the patients.Results:Group A had a much higher cure rate of 96.43% (compared to 82.62% for Group B)(P0.01) and a shorter period of recovery.Conclusion:The study shows that the traditional Chinese medicine treatment called “Eye Brighter” can improve the treatment of CSR.
