Production of polycarbonate resin composition and its use

1992
PURPOSE: To stably obtain the subject composition having excellent residence stability and surface form in high efficiency by adding and kneading resins and additives to a polycarbonate produced by a melt-polycondensation process while the polycarbonate is in molten state and granulating the kneaded mixture by cutting. CONSTITUTION: An aromatic hydroxyl compound [preferably 2,2-bis (4 hydroxyphenyl)propane] and a carbonic acid diester (preferably diphenyl carbonate) are subjected to melt-polycondensation in the presence of a catalyst. The produced polycarbonate (A) is incorporated in molten state with (B) a resin other than the component A (preferably polyester resin, etc.) and/or (C) an additive [preferably butyl p-toluenesulfonate, tris (2,4-di-t-butylphenyl) phosphite, etc.] and the mixture is kneaded. Finally, the obtained composition is granulated by cutting in molten state to obtain the objective composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
