The invention discloses a variable frequency drive debugging method. The variable frequency drive debugging method includes following steps: using an electric current and voltage method to test ground resistance; checking a motor, and using a direct current and double arm bridge to test direct current resistance of the motor; testing electric cables of the motor; checking a frequency converter before the frequency converter is powered on; testing a control loop of the frequency converter in idle running mode; performing single machine debugging on the frequency converter; setting network parameters; operating an upper computer for a test run. The variable frequency drive debugging method can help personnel who are only trained in basic frequency conversion to rapidly perform debugging on the frequency converter, even complex debugging which is special in process on the frequency converter, and simultaneously saves debugging time, reduces problems and breakdowns, which appear in the debugging process, and enlarges the range in practical use of the frequency converter.
