Production of polycarbonate resin composition

1992
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition having excellent residence stability such as color stability and resistant to thermal deterioration in high production efficiency by incorporating and kneading a synthesized polycarbonate with a resin other than the polycarbonate while the polycarbonate is in molten state. CONSTITUTION: A polycarbonate is produced by the melt-polycondensation of an aromatic dihydroxy compound [preferably 2,2-bis (4-hydroxyphenyl) propane] with a carbonic acid diester (preferably diphenyl carbonate) in the presence of a catalyst (preferably alkali metal or alkaline earth metal compound). The objective composition can be produced by adding a resin other than the polycarbonate resin (preferably polyester resin or polyolefin resin) to the polycarbonate while the polycarbonate is in molten state, and kneading the mixture. Preferably, the composition is further incorporated with an additive such as butyl p-toluenesulfonate and tris (2,4-di-t-butylphenyl) phosphite. COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
