Solidification of Refractory Materials Processed in the Ultrahigh Vacuum Drop Tube at the Cerem — Grenoble

Most of the undercooling experiments performed in the 48 metre high Grenoble drop-tube have essentially dealt with pure refractory metals. Here, material processing for studies on alloys is examined. Emphasis is put on general aspects of surface and bulk microstructures of solidified droplets.
