Recent work in Bangladesh on the utilization of water hyacinth

Incorporates a description of the designs of a clarifier for pre-treatment of water and the parameters studied for the pretreatment of water using water hyacinth particularly for the removal of some undesirable substances from surface (river) water before actual purification. Includes a description of the design of a Anaerobic Baffle Reactor (ABR) and the trial run of the reactor. Also includes a brief description of the production of board to highlight the various aspects of work being followed at present in Bangladesh for the utilization of water hyacinth
