X-ray Crystallographic Structure of (meso-Tetraphenylporphinato)bis(phenylphosphinic methyl ester)iron(III) Perchlorate: A New High-Spin Six-Coordinate Ferric Porphyrin

The title compound has been prepared by the reaction of phenylphosphinic methyl ester and (meso-tetraphenylporphinato)iron(III) perchlorate. Its structural characterization demonstrates that the large high-spin iron(III) atom is centered in the heme plane with a radial expansion of the porphinato core.
