Degenerate Four wave Mixing Studies and Ultrafast Optical Kerr Effect Measurements of Third‐order Nonlinear Optical Response in a Charge Transfer Organic Material
2011
The third‐order nonlinear optical properties of a charge‐transfer organic compound ethyl 2‐[(2E)‐2‐(4‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxybenzylidene) hydrazino]‐5‐nitrobenzoate were investigated by employing Degenerate Four Wave Mixing (DFWM) and Optical Kerr Gate (OKG) techniques. The study enables to compare the χ(3) values obtained on different time scales of the laser pulses and to understand the origin of nonlinear response of the samples.
