Relationship Between Serum Specific IgE,Skin Prick Test and Symptom's Degree of Allergic Rhinitis

2008
Objective To explore the relationship between serum specific IgE,skin prick test and symptom's degree of allergic rhinitis. Methods Symptom was individually scored in 40 patients, and skin prick test was carried out using ALK standard allergen, and specific IgE was detected by UniCAP system.Peripheral blood eosinophil was counted in all patients. Results Serum specific IgE level was significantly related to positive degree of skin prick test and the concentration of peripheral blood eosinophil(r=0.483,r=0.384,P0.05).Serum specific IgE and skin prick test did not relate to score of symptom of allergic rhinitis(P0.05).Conclusions The level of serum specific IgE and positive degree of skin prick test could not reflect symptom's degree in allergic rhinitis.Alternation of two assays is of great value to clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of allergic rhinitis.
