The invention relates to a permanent magnet synchronous linear motor for suppressing magnetic resistance. The permanent magnet synchronous linear motor comprises a primary winding and a secondary winding, wherein the secondary winding is provided with a linear guide rail; the primary winding is arranged on the linear guide rail; an air gap is reserved between the primary winding and the secondary winding; the primary winding comprises an active cell iron core formed by stacking a plurality of straight slot type silicon steel sheets, and a plurality of hollow coils; each hollow coil is embedded into each straight slot of each straight slot type silicon steel sheet; one half coil and the other half coil of each hollow coil are respectively embedded into two adjacent straight slots; one half coil of each of two adjacent hollow coils is embedded into the same straight slot; and insulation layers are arranged between two adjacent hollow coils and between each hollow coil and each straight slot type silicon steel sheet. The width D of the straight slot in the end of each straight slot type silicon steel sheet is smaller than the width L of the straight slot in the middle of each straight slot type silicon steel sheet; and the height b of a straight tooth at the end of each straight slot type silicon steel sheet is smaller than the height m of a straight tooth in the middle of each straight slot type silicon steel sheet. By the permanent magnet synchronous linear motor, tooth groove force and end force are reduced; the magnetic resistance is effectively suppressed; and therefore, thrust fluctuation in a running process is reduced, and the positioning precision is improved.
