A Privacy-Aware Exergame Platform for Multi-domain Cognitive Training

2018
Brain training games and aerobic exercises showed promise to improve cognitive ability in past researches, but the effectiveness of cognitive training still remains controversial. To study the effects of different kinds of cognitive interventions, we designed a series of brain training exergames for elders. Different from traditional video games, a projector is used in this system and all the gameplay is showed on the wall. Players need to simultaneously solve the cognitive training problems show on the wall and do some physical actions to choose the answer. Unlike other similar platforms, a laser scanner instead of camera is used in this system to protect the privacy of players.
