Bootstrap Based Energy Efficient Counting Fusion Scheme

A bootstrap based counting fusion scheme for collaborative spectrum sensing is proposed, which improves the performance of conventional counting rules in terms of probability of error and energy consumption. In conventional fusion schemes the cognitive radios participating in decision making are not checked for their individual performances. In the proposed work, we identify the cognitive radios, which deviate significantly from the acceptable performance, and exclude them from the decision making process without using any feedback loop. This improves the reliability and at the same time saves the computing and communication resources thereby increasing the energy and bandwidth efficiency.
