Application of radio signals from a satellite navigation system to sounding the earth's ionosphere

On the basis of the experimental data on the difference of distances obtained from the two-frequency observations of the Navstar navigation system satellites, a method for determining the altitude profile of the Earth's ionosphere is approved. A real possibility for obtaining the Earth's ionosphere profile based on two-frequency measurements of signals radiated by a high-accuracy navigation system is shown.
