Investigations on design and performance of Linear Cantor Array using strip dipole and V-dipole for UHF band application

2016
In this paper, a detail investigation on triadic Linear Cantor Array has been carried out. Two main approaches are focused: study of behavior of strip dipole and V-dipole array by applying fractal geometry and process them through Optimization to get better performance parameters such as high Directivity and low Side lobe Level. Although the fractal concept shows some interesting results in this case but to reduce Side lobes and effective length where the antennas are placed, a little modification has been done, which shows the novelty of this work. The simulation process is carried out using Matlab and verified in CST Microwave Studio. The antenna array is designed to operate in UHF band (800 MHz – 1000 MHz).
