The present invention relates to a brushless DC motor of the single-cycle peak current detection and protection methods, to improve the timeliness in the brushless DC motor and the peak current detection looking overcurrent protection. On the basis of conventional current sampling circuit on the bus, the bus current detection circuit using the DSP bus AD modules cooperate peak current of the motor is detected, and the overcurrent detection current is divided into two portions. Current in each chopper cycle is detected, an interrupt is triggered AD sampled motor current at a duty ratio of 3/4. In each control cycle upon detection of an overcurrent fault protection stop immediately, the next control period if the detected return to normal motor current, overcurrent protection is immediately terminated. This method will shorten motor overcurrent fault protection time from embodiment to detect within a control cycle, real-time performance.
