EQUIDISTANCE ORDERING OF LARGE EARTHQUAKES IN NORTH CHINA

Abstract The spatial ordering of M ≥ 7 earthquake epicentres in North China was studied. The pattern of earthquake epicentres was identified in terms of simple geometric forms and discussed in connection with the surface geological structure of the test area. The possibility of using the equidistance distribution of great earthquakes in seismic zoning was pointed out.
