TerraSAR-X interferometric observations of the Recovery Glacier system, Antarctica

Two methods for derivation of surface ice velocity from SAR data are presented. They are applied to the RAMP Glacier in East Antarctica, which was imaged in repeat pass by TerraSAR-X in 2008 as part of the International Polar Year (IPY). Coregistration methods and an algorithm to improve the interferometric phase quality are described. The accuracy of speckle tracking and interferometric phaseestimates of displacement are compared.
