Thermodynamic properties of group V transition metal carbides of variable composition over the temperature range 1200-2500K

1986
This paper obtains equations by a procedure described previously for the temperature-concentration dependence of enthalpy, heat capacity and other thermodynamic functions, which enable the corresponding values to be calculated for carbides of any composition within the limits of the homogeneity region of MC /SUB 1-x/ over the temperature range studied (1200-2500 K). It is shown that the enthalpy and heat capacity of group V transition metal carbides vary nonlinearly with composition.
