The invention provides an embedded permanent magnet rotor production method for a drive motor of an electric automobile, and belongs to the technical field of automobile motor electric appliances. The N pole of first rectangular permanent magnet steel, the N pole of another rectangular permanent magnet steel adjacent to the first rectangular permanent magnet steel, the S pole of the first rectangular permanent magnet steel and the S pole of the another rectangular permanent magnet steel adjacent to the first rectangular permanent magnet steel are sequentially arranged in a rectangular groove of a rotor iron core in the radial direction to form a rotor magnetic bypass structure, wherein the N pole of the first rectangular permanent magnet steel is opposite to the N pole of another rectangular permanent magnet steel adjacent to the first rectangular permanent magnet steel, and the S pole of the first rectangular permanent magnet steel is opposite to the S pole of the another rectangular permanent magnet steel adjacent to the first rectangular permanent magnet steel. Accordingly, the permanent magnet steel can be effectively prevented from generating an irreversible demagnetization problem under the action of armature reaction of impact currents, it is guaranteed that the permanent magnet steel does not lose magnetism, meanwhile, two pieces of the rectangular permanent magnet steel provide an air gas magnetic field for the drive motor together, magnetic field intensity is high, power density is high, and large enough power can be provided for the electric automobile.
