Independent elevator crash protection system and protection method

An independent elevator crash protection system and protection method. The elevator crash protection system comprises a data acquisition module, a processor, an excursion mechanism, and an airbag. The data acquisition module comprises a speed acquisition unit, an acceleration acquisition unit, and a distance-to-ground acquisition unit. The three units respectively acquire a current movement speed v, an acceleration a, and a distance to the ground h. The processor is used to receive the movement speed, the acceleration, and the distance to the ground, and compare the movement speed v, the acceleration a, and the distance to the ground h to corresponding thresholds. When all the three exceed the corresponding thresholds, the processor transmits to the execution mechanism an operation command. Upon receiving the operation mechanism, the execution mechanism inflates the airbag. The system can provide protection to the elevator and passengers during a crash, and can monitor an operation state of the elevator during a normal operation, saving monitoring costs, and increasing a monitoring effect.
