Intensities of infrared transitions in N/sub 2/O and H/sub 2/CO by electron impact spectroscopy. [100 eV electrons]

Measurements of relative intensities of infrared transitions in N/sub 2/O and H/sub 2/CO have been made using forward inelastic scattering of 100 eV electrons. Agreement with previous infrared and electron impact measurements is satisfactory, showing that infrared intensities can be obtained from electron scattering measurements without the need for pressure broadening or corrections for the spectrometer slitwidth.
