The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, liquid crystal layer, a thin film transistor, plasmon color filter and the pixel electrode. The first substrate includes a plurality of pixel regions. The second substrate is opposed to the first substrate. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The thin film transistor includes a gate electrode, the gate electrode and overlapping the semiconductor pattern overlapping the semiconductor pattern and spaced apart from each other to a source electrode and a drain electrode disposed on the first substrate. The color filter includes a plurality of holes which comprises the same material as the gate electrode, are formed in the same layer as the gate electrode is applied with a common voltage, to transmit the light. It said pixel electrode is overlapped with the plasmon color filter, and is connected to the drain electrode is applied to the gradation voltage. Thus, plasmon color filter and it is possible to form the gate pattern as the same material can simplify the process. In addition, it is possible to apply the plasmon color filter as a common electrode, it is possible to prevent the increase in the step as to form a common electrode separately.
