Study of the zero translation of “Geili” under the guidance of equivalence theory

Nowadays"Geili"is one of the very hot words in China and becomes known by more and more foreiners.The paper will use the tragedy of zero translation to handle the word in order to let foreigners know the real essence and meaning of the word.In fact,when it comes to the translation of the word,there have been many translations,among which"gelivable"is the very word that is in accordance with zero translation.The paper analyses zero translation while Eugene A.Nida 's equivalence theory is used to study the rationality and feasibility of the zero translation of the popular word"Geili".Besides,the paper will try to provide evidence for the translation to be an English word based on Eugene A.Nida's equivalence theory.
