Application of Purely Irrigation Clearing Pachy Lens Shiver in Phacoemulsification

Objective:To approach the clinical effect of usin purely irrgation to clear pachy lens shiver in Phacoemulsification. Results:One hundred and sixty eyes of One hundred and forty-six cataracta patients were treated by purely irrigation.The patients includ the ones who posses pachy lens shiver or stereo-kernel in Phacoemulsification and maturity cataract patients.complications of operation and visual acuity were observed post-operation.Results:The postoperative best-corrected visual acuity in all cases were improved obviously,0.3-0.5 were found in 38 eyes,0.5-1.0 in 108 eyes.The patients whose postoperative best-corrected visual lower than 0.3 were company with other diseases of eyes.There were no posterior capsular disrupted,no ligamentum suspensorium mutilated and no cornea endothelial cell decomped durring the operations;There were no seepage of incisions and corneal edema defluxioed rapidly.Postoperative complications included tunica coerulea lentored partly in 2 cases,pupil slightly moved up in 1 eye,and posterior capsular opacification in 2 eyes.Conclusions:Purely irrigation is a perfect way to clear pachy lens shiver and stereo-kernel inPhacoemulsification.
