Resin binder and its use

2002
A resin binder comprising a non-linear polyester having a softening point of 130 ° C to 160 ° C and a linear polyester having a softening point of 80 ° C to 110 ° C, wherein the non-linear polyester is obtained by polycondensing an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component, wherein an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid compound in an amount of 60 mol% or more of the carboxylic acid component is 1); 2) (i) no alkenylsuccinic compound is contained, or (Ii) when present, an alkenylsuccinic compound in an amount of 0.1 mol% or less of the carboxylic acid component is contained; and 3) at least one member selected from the group consisting of: (I) a trivalent or higher polyhydric alcohol in an amount of 0.1 to 40 mol% of the alcohol component; and (Ii) a tricarboxylic or higher polycarboxylic acid compound in an amount of 0.1 to 40 mol% of the carboxylic acid component is included, and wherein the linear polyester is obtained by polycondensation of an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component, wherein 1) an aromatic dicarboxylic acid in an amount of 90 mol% or the carboxylic acid component is contained more, and (2) (a) (i) is not a trivalent or higher polyhydric alcohol, or (Ii) if present, a trihydric or higher polyhydric alcohol in an amount of less than 0.05 mol% of the alcohol component is contained; and (B) (i) no tricarboxylic or higher polycarboxylic acid or (Ii) if present, a tricarboxylic or higher polycarboxylic acid in an amount of less than 0.05 mol% of the carboxylic acid component is included.
