Effects of excimer laser corneal refractive surgery under different health education timing

Objective To investigate the effects of excimer laser corneal refractive surgery under different health education timing. Methods A total of 1 136 cases undergoing excimer laser corneal refractive surgery in our hospital from March 2015 to March 2016 were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to the number table method, 568 cases respectively. The control group was given normal health education, while the observation group was given the time adjustment healthy education. Therapeutic effect, compliance, knowledge of health education, complications and satisfaction were compared between two groups after 2 months of the intervention. Results There was no statistical significance difference of patients' visual acuity and diopter difference between two groups after treatment (P>0.05) . The score of patients' knowledge of health education and its compliance rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) . The levels of patients' medication practice, consciousness of eye protection and compliance behavior of on time treatment in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05) . The complication rate of patients in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05) . The satisfaction ratio of patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05) . Conclusions The content of postoperative treatment effects and complications in health education could be done before the operation, which can effectively improve the patient's knowledge level of health education, compliance behavior and satisfaction so as to reduce the ratio of postoperative complications occurrence.
