With the development of children's education, parents and teachers pay more and more attention to the learning and training of children with developmental dyslexia (DD). There are many reasons for DD and various intervention tools with a large number of learning costs. In this paper, we aim to analyze the relationship between music, pinyin, and reading, and confirm the theoretical link of "music - Chinese pinyin - reading ability". Then, we sort out a method to design the music intervention tool in this article, which is a new tangible interactive tool for children with DD. This tool is composed of hardware and software and has three modules: music intervention, pinyin intervention, and reading intervention, covering a total of 11 levels and is suitable for classroom teaching, home self-study, and other scenarios, to improve the Chinese pinyin and reading abilities. Subsequently, we conducted a pre-experiment and formal experiment on 20 children with DD to demonstrate the effectiveness of this tool, while using the SUS scale to analyze the evaluation of these children. Finally, we figured that the intervention tool designed in this study has a certain helpful effect on improving the phonetic and reading abilities of children with DD, and is more effective than the three intervention methods used alone. This study has certain reference significance for the designers of intervention tools and also provides new intervention methods for teachers in training institutions. It also provides another possibility for the self-treatment and training of children with developmental dyslexia.
Investment casting based on stereolithography (SL) has the characteristics of short production cycle and low cost, which is especially suitable for fabricating complex aeronautical parts without metal dies. But there are some problems during the fabrication process, such as low surface accuracy caused by the staircases of resin prototype, shell cracking caused by higher thermal stress during the sintering process and so on. Taking an engine turbine stator as a fabrication example, the surface accuracy of resin prototype under the effect of coating method was investigated using the laser confocal microscopy; what's more, both theoretical analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) were combined and compared to reveal the thermal stress field of ceramic shell during pyrolyzing and sintering process under different situation. It was founded that the surface staircases of the resin prototype was eliminated and the surface quality was improved after coating process, the thermal stress was decreased and shell cracking was avoided by sintering the ceramic shell with the inner hollow resin prototype under the heating rate of 5 °C/min. The result showed that, the metal turbine stator had high dimensional accuracy of CT4-CT6 and had a good surface finish within Ra 3.2.
The ancient Chinese ecological concept of "Unity of Heaven and Man, Coexistence of All Things" emphasizes the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature, serving as a fundamental perspective in Chinese culture for understanding the world. This concept embodies deep ecological values and provides valuable ideological resources and practical directions for modern ecological civilization construction and sustainable development goals. This paper first traces the historical context of the concept and expounds on its ideological connotations; then, it analyzes the value of this concept in contemporary society, particularly in areas such as environmental protection and the green economy; finally, it proposes a series of practical pathways, such as policy development, technological innovation, and public education, aiming to fully leverage the concept in promoting the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature in modern society.
Cross-cultural design requires designers to understand other foreign cultures, selecting suitable cultural elements, and finally incorporate them into product design. Traditionally, this process is time-consuming and relies to a significant extent on designers' cultural awareness and design skills. This article proposes a new tool for designers to select and integrate cultural elements in the cross-cultural design process. The proposed approach utilizes state-of-the-art deep learning techniques, which begins by automatically selecting the most suitable style image from all cultural image candidates. Then, the deep-learning-based style transfer technique is introduced to automatically produce a design image that has the same content as the uploaded design content image, and also has the cultural style of the selected style image. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work that extends deep learning techniques to facilitate cross-cultural design. The tool received positive feedback in a usability evaluation. The empirical results show that our approach can effectively increase designers' cultural awareness in respect of four cultural element dimensions (color, material, pattern and form). It is an innovative and efficient tool to help designers with idea generation and fast prototyping, although some participants argued that the tool would only assist designers, rather than replace humans.
With the development of children's education, parents and teachers pay more and more attention to the learning and training of children with developmental dyslexia. The current intervention research mainly focuses on the learning of alphabetic languages such as English. However, there are many reasons for developmental dyslexia, so there are various intervention tools, usually requiring the guidance of professional teachers, and a large number of learning costs. In this paper, we choose Chinese children with developmental dyslexia who have weak phonological awareness and problems in reading ability as the research object to explore the effect of music intervention on these children's reading ability. Through the method of literature research, the aim is to analyze the relationship between music, Pinyin and Chinese reading, open the theoretical link of "Music - Chinese Pinyin - Chinese Reading", and then sort out a method to complete the design of music intervention tools, to provide a new tangible interactive intervention tool for children with developmental dyslexia in China.
