Intraoperative blood pressure (BP) is one of the basic vital signs monitoring. Compared with standard invasive BP measurement, TL-300 allows for a continuous and beat-to-beat noninvasive intraoperative BP monitoring. The current retrospective study compared the accuracy and precision of this noninvasive technique for continuous BP monitoring with that of standard invasive BP measurement in patients undergoing elective neurosurgery.BP records of 23 patients undergoing elective neurosurgery, measured by both noninvasive TL-300 and invasive radial arterial catheter method, were retrospectively analyzed. Variability in BP data was analyzed by using linear regressions and Bland-Altman analysis.Four thousand three hundred eighty-one pairs of BP measurements from a total of 23 patients were included. The coefficient of determination of systolic, diastolic, and mean BP were 0.908, 0.803, and 0.922, respectively. And their bias was found to be 1.3±5.87 mm Hg (95% limits of agreement: -10.2 to +12.8 mm Hg), 2.8±6.40 mm Hg (95% limits of agreement: -9.8 to +15.3 mm Hg), and 1.8±4.20 mm Hg (95% limits of agreement: -6.4 to +10.1 mm Hg), respectively.TL-300 system is a promising noninvasive alternative to the invasive arterial catheter method for intraoperative BP monitoring, with a high accuracy and precision. With the limitation of the current retrospective study, further prospective method comparison studies are needed.
In this paper, the main research bacteriocin (Nisin) to extend the low-temperature shelf life of cooked meat products technology, bacteriocin(Nisin). At the same time,Chinese and Western-style meat products in the repetition of low-temperature tests, the results also demonstrated that bacteria(Nisin) the use of meat at low temperatures can extend the shelf-life products;if properly co-ordinated with the use of other preservatives, combined with vacuum-packed,low-temperature meat products can effectively reduce the number of initial bacteria, significantly extending the product shelf life.It solved low-temperature meat products short shelf life.
This study investigated the impact of various nitrogen forms on American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius) seedling growth. Thirteen treatments of inorganic and organic nitrogen combinations were tested in the first year and growth indicators were measured. In the second year, treatments with significant growth promotion effects were further verified. The results showed improved growth of American ginseng seedlings when the concentrations of nitrate and ammonium nitrogen were 1.5 and 0.5 mM, respectively. The addition of 0.5 mM tyrosine and 0.1 mM glycine as organic nitrogen to this combination of high nitrate and low ammonium further improved seedling performance. However, American ginseng seedlings treated with high ammonium (1.5 mM) and low nitrate (0.5 mM) concentrations combined with organic nitrogen did not exhibit any growth-beneficial responses and showed a negative response at high organic nitrogen doses. This study suggests that American ginseng is a nitrate-loving plant and that the combination of higher nitrate with lower ammonium nitrogen concentrations, added with an appropriate amount of organic nitrogen, may greatly promote seedling growth. These results may be beneficial for implementing management strategies to effectively overcome the challenges encountered by attempts to continuously crop American ginseng with success. Key words: Panax quinquefolium; inorganic nitrogen, organic nitrogen, continuous cropping, seedling growth, nitrate, ammonium, survival rate.

To evaluate the value of lung ultrasonography score (LUS) on assessing extravascular lung water (EVLW) and prognosis in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).The clinical data of 46 patients meeting ARDS Berlin definition admitted to intensive care unit (ICU) of Ningbo Yinzhou People's Hospital from July 2016 to December 2019 were retrospectively collected. The general data, vital signs, blood lactic acid (Lac), oxygenation index (OI), LUS, extravascular lung water index (EVLWI), sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score, clinical pulmonary infection score (CPIS) and the length of ICU stay were collected. According to the prognosis of patients during ICU treatment, the patients were divided into survival group and non-survival group, and the clinical characteristics between the two groups were compared. The correlation between LUS and OI, EVLWI, SOFA, and CPIS were analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. Receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve was plotted to determine the prognostic value of LUS for ARDS patients during ICU treatment.Forty-six patients were enrolled in the analysis, of whom 32 patients survived (69.6%), and 14 patients died (30.4%) during ICU treatment. There was no significant difference in gender, age, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) or heart rate (HR) between the two groups. Compared with the survival group, the mean arterial pressure (MAP) and OI in the non-survival group were significantly lowered [MAP (mmHg, 1 mmHg = 0.133 kPa): 57.48±33.34 vs. 85.45±19.56, OI (mmHg): 74.50±18.40 vs. 233.06±28.28, both P < 0.05], while Lac, LUS, EVLWI, SOFA and CPIS were significantly increased [Lac (mmol/L): 6.78±2.56 vs. 2.21±1.42, LUS score: 23.57±2.03 vs. 15.58±2.24, EVLWI (mL/kg): 22.93±2.56 vs. 12.96±2.18, SOFA score: 20.21±3.35 vs. 12.43±2.97, CPIS score: 8.07±1.38 vs. 4.59±1.04, all P < 0.01], and the length of ICU stay was significantly shortened (days: 9.33±3.28 vs. 16.89±4.12, P < 0.05]. Pearson correlation analysis showed that a significant negative linear correlation was found between LUS and OI (r = -0.823, P < 0.01), and positive linear correlations were found between LUS and EVLWI, SOFA, CPIS (r values were 0.745, 0.614, 0.757, respectively, all P < 0.01). ROC curve analysis showed that both LUS and EVLWI could predict the prognosis of ARDS patients during ICU treatment, and the areas under ROC curve (AUC) of LUS and EVLWI were 0.936 and 0.991, respectively. When the cut-off of LUS score was 20.5, the sensitivity and specificity were 85.7% and 81.2% respectively.LUS score has a good correlation with EVLWI monitored by pulse index continuous cardiac output (PiCCO), which can reflect lung water content. LUS score can be used as an early prognostic indicator for ARDS patients.
The beneficial effects of the probiotic strain Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (formerly Lactobacillus plantarum) are based on its adherence and colonization ability in the gut. However, little is known about the migration and long-term gut colonization of the strain. This study evaluated the gut colonization modes of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum RS-09 to identify the strain with long-term gut colonization potential. We established CFDA/SE-labeled RS-09 to study the temporal and spatial distribution of RS-09 in the intestine as well as to analyze its persistence in different parts of the intestine by flow cytometry. This study has shown that the RS-09 strain maintains strong adhesion abilities under acid (pH 2.5) and base (pH 8.5) conditions. In addition, CFDA/SE can be used as an indicator for the labeling of L. plantarum RS-09 in the intestinal tract in vivo. We established a growth kinetics model of RS-09 to elucidate its persistence in the intestine. In vivo persistence experiments showed that the persistence rate of RS-09 was the highest in the cecum (69.5%) and the lowest in the duodenum (12.8%) at 96 h. After 20 days, RS-09 was predominantly localized in the cecum and colon steadily. These studies provide new insights into the long-term persistence of L. plantarum in the gastrointestinal tract. The CFDA/SE label system may be used to study the in vivo colonization dynamics of other probiotic strains.
