Objective To observe the effect of flavonoids from Radix Flemingia Philippinersis on blood lipid metabolism, nitric oxide(NO)and nitric-oxide synthase in experimental hyperlipidemia rats. Methods The content of TC、TG、LDL-c、HDL-c and NO and activities of NOS in serum were measured respectively. Results The content of TC,TG,LDL-c in serum were decreased significantly in the flavonoids from Radix Flemingia Philippinensis group compared with high lipid control group. In the comparison with high lipid control group, activities of serum NOS increased in the hyperlipidemia rats. Conclusion Flavonoids from Radix Flemingia Philippinersis can regulate blood lipid in hyperlipidemia rats.
Hair follicles are easily accessible skin appendages that protect against cold and potential injuries. Hair follicles contain various pools of stem cells, such as epithelial, melanocyte, and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) that continuously self-renew, differentiate, regulate hair growth, and maintain skin homeostasis. Recently, MSCs derived from the dermal papilla or dermal sheath of the human hair follicle have received attention because of their accessibility and broad differentiation potential. In this review, we describe the applications of human hair follicle-derived MSCs (hHF-MSCs) in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. We have described protocols for isolating hHF-MSCs from human hair follicles and their culture condition in detail. We also summarize strategies for maintaining hHF-MSCs in a highly proliferative but undifferentiated state after repeated in vitro passages, including supplementation of growth factors, 3D suspension culture technology, and 3D aggregates of MSCs. In addition, we report the potential of hHF-MSCs in obtaining induced smooth muscle cells and tissue-engineered blood vessels, regenerated hair follicles, induced red blood cells, and induced pluripotent stem cells. In summary, the abundance, convenient accessibility, and broad differentiation potential make hHF-MSCs an ideal seed cell source of regenerative medical and cell therapy.
To discuss the application scope of Sini capsule in treationg coronary heart disease angina.Different syndrome of coronary heart disease angina was treated with the same Sini Capsule, and the change of angina, electrocardiogram and cardiac function was observed.Sini capsule could evidently decrease angina outbreak, improve ischemia electrocardiogram and enhance cardiac function. Sini capsule could make different degree treatment effect for different syndrome. There is pathogenesis of Yang insufficinecy Yin excessive in every syndrome of coronary heart disease angina; it indicates that it had best to use Sini capsule according to differentiation syndrome when angina patients are treated by Sini capsule.
The interfragmentary micromovement induced by mechanical vibration was measured in vitro in seven preserved adult cadaveric femurs by using accelerometers. Accuracy analysis of this method indicated that it can detect relative interfragmentary micromovement as small as 0.1 mm or below under certain range of frequency. Also, the results have shown that the mechanical vibration can induce interfragmentary micromovement under intramedullary nailing, but it can not do so under plate fixation.
Readers and return book from other libraries at themselves university as same as them do it from themselves library under the model of borrow book over network of interlibrary circulation in academic libraries consortium federation. The model of borrow book over network of interlibrary circulation has been created by Nanjing eastern three universities, embodies fully the reader-oriented service concept, has been realized in the LIB-SYS system.
The effects of pentachloronitrobenzene(PCNB) on the activity of acetylcholinesterase(AChE) in brain and oxidation damage in various organs(brain, liver, kidney, spleen and serum) of mice were studied. The mice were poisoned at different concentrations(200,400,600 mg·kg~(-1)),once a day.The activities of AChE and catalase(CAT) and the levels of lipid peroxidation(LPO) of the organs were measured at 4,8,12 and 16 days. The results showed that(1)the activities of AChE were inhibited and showed an evident(dependence) on dose and time;(2)the activities of CAT in liver and kidney changed evidently and the levels of LPO were obvious;(3)after treated 16 days, the levels of LPO of spleen increased at the concentration of 600 mg·kg~(-1);(4)in brain and serum, the activities of catalase(CAT) increased first and then decreased following the PCNB concentrations varied from low to high. But the levels of LPO were not serious.PCNB could have nerve toxicity and oxidation damage on liver and kidney.
Summary Enzymatic maceration of blackberries was conducted with eight different pectinolytic enzyme preparations. Juice yields were increased greatly when macerated blackberries were treated with enzyme preparations ( P < 0.05), but no significant difference in yield was found among different enzymes ( P > 0.05). The amounts of anthocyanins and polyphenols in the juices as well as clarity of the juices were greatly varied because of different enzyme treatment. Juice prepared with Klerzyme 150 showed better clarity and greater amount of anthocyanins than the juices prepared with other enzyme preparations ( P < 0.05). Studies on the uniform design for Klerzyme 150 enzyme revealed that the optimum conditions were 0.063% (v/w), 44 °C and 110 min for enzyme dosage, reaction temperature and reaction time, respectively.
