As the result of their low thermal conductivity and high heat resistance, sheet mater- ials may be used as a thermal insulation material in thermal equipment, in the production of thermal insulation plates, and as a protective layer placed on the ~ooi of molten metal in ladles or molds without danger of contamination of the metal by fine particles from the sheet.
