Abstract:
The environmental regulation of a product is a global trend. The environmental regulation directives such as RoHS, WEEE, ELV and REACH have impacted Korean export-oriented auto parts manufacturer and affects the export of the product to aboard. In electronics manufacture and auto parts manufacturer, there are different systems for environmental regulation compliance. Nowadays the automotive mechatronics parts in a car are increasing. The HEV and intelligent car will need more mechatronics parts. It is necessary to apply the environmental regulation system of electronics to the automotive parts. In this paper, we proposed the application of PDX standard used in electronic industry to the BOM of the auto parts manufactures and showed an example of generated BOM for selected auto part using PDX. The PDX-based BOM can be used for the recording of environmental substances of the automotive mechatronics part and help the collaboration across auto parts manufactures in accordance with environmental regulation. Keywords:

Abstract The application of the Taylor system at Soviet automobile plants is analyzed. Its development to the scale of the industry and the country as a whole is shown. The absence of incentives for enterprises to increase the quality and improve the production management system was noted. Managers of enterprises misunderstand the purpose of quality management system implementation, the predominance of the formal approach to certification, application of new quality control methods without being linked to domestic technical documentation. Adequate perception of ISO/TS requirements began only when foreign customers approved the production of Russian suppliers. The identified omissions of suppliers in preproduction are listed. Based on the results of work with enterprise-suppliers specialists, the main directions for the formation of effective QMS by Russian corporations are determined. Standard layouts, checklist sheets, control sheets, work instructions have been developed for suppliers. Adequate methods of quality management have also been developed. It is concluded that the real quality improvement of automotive components by Russian suppliers is a long-lasting process. Its effectiveness is determined by the effectiveness of activities on the part of suppliers, corporations and Russian government.

The complete "Automotive value chain" is facing significant innovation pressure coming from emerging safety and/or environmental regulations & laws as well as the end customer's demand for more functionality & comfort at not increasing prizes. The presentation will explain the challenging implications of this development for Infineon as an IDM. It will also explain that moving towards leading edge technologies (65nm and beyond) is not our preferred answer to meet "Military quality/reliability requirements at consumer electronics prices". Therefore our requirements towards the EDA industry have to be aligned with Automotive applications and the corresponding business environment.

There is an ever increasing demand for vehicle electrification. This demand is mainly due to environmental influences and stringent regulations on fuel consumption and emissions, more stringent safety demands, customer requirements, quality, reliability, and value. Although the field of Mechatronics, merging of mechanical systems and electronic controls, is not new, the vehicle electrification takes the mechatronics area to new levels of complexities. These new levels of complexities introduce many challenges and opportunities for automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers, relevant government agencies, and academia. At Cranfield University, an Automotive Mechatronics Centre has been established to help address some of these issues in this area. This paper examines the automotive mechatronics technology along with all its opportunities and challenges for the relevant stakeholders and the role of the Automotive Mechatronics Centre at Cranfield University.

The increasing number of automotive applications is one of the driving forces behind the miniaturization of electronics. Since miniaturization means less use of resources, this trend seems to be inherently benign for the environment. Adverse effects overlay this simple truth. The overall amount of electronics in a car multiplies. The complexity and closeness of nonseparable compounds increase. The decentralization of automotive electronics is a major handicap for recycling at the end of car lifetime. This aspect becomes increasingly important, since car producers are forced by the government (e.g. since April 1st 1998 in Germany) to take back old cars. Similar to the information and communications industry, it can be expected that car producers ask their suppliers about the environmental aspects of their products. In this paper, an overview of international tendencies in design for environment are given.

The purpose of this article is to present a framework of how implement a synchronous flow of raw material between a car manufacturer and original equipment manufacturers (OEM). The interest of such a subject is placed in a particular context of the automotive industry in Morocco marked by the RENAULT ecosystem signed under the Industrial Acceleration Plan (2014–2020).

The automotive industry is challenged by strong and often contradictory forces: environment protection, sustainability, safety, quality, fun to drive, fashion, comfort, and of course cost effectiveness. The integration of new functions and features in to the car are often enabled by electronics. This holds true for all the major application fields; whether powertrain, safety management, body and convenience or infotainment. Electronics is giving new opportunities to improve energy efficiency and CO 2 reduction. The domain approach allows consolidation of functions into fewer electronic control super units. The automotive industry is intelligently using standardization as a means to manage the increasing vehicle complexity. The successful implementation and the high penetration of car electronics across all different vehicle classes are strongly dependent on three major aspects: productivity, quality and innovation. These parameters affect all parties of the automotive electronics value chain, with an especially significant contribution from the semiconductor industry. There are many important questions that have to be dealt with in this context: how can a continuous productivity improvement be achieved to support further penetration of car electronics where Moore's law is slowing down? How can the component quality provide the desired zero defect rate when the complexity of automotive electronic systems is so rapidly increasing? How can innovations be guaranteed considering the very tough financial boundaries on the component level? And how can automotive long-term product delivery be fulfilled? The presenter will propose answers to these questions from the perspective of Europe's largest automotive semiconductor supplier.
