Abstract:
Abstract The EyeMatics project, embedded as a clinical use case in Germany’s Medical Informatics Initiative, is a large digital health initiative in ophthalmology. The objective is to improve the understanding of the treatment effects of intravitreal injections, the most frequent procedure to treat eye diseases. To achieve this, valuable patient data will be meaningfully integrated and visualized from different IT systems and hospital sites. EyeMatics emphasizes a governance framework that actively involves patient representatives, strictly implements interoperability standards, and employs artificial intelligence methods to extract biomarkers from tabular and clinical data as well as raw retinal scans. In this perspective paper, we delineate the strategies for user-centered implementation and health care–based evaluation in a multisite observational technology study. Keywords:

We report the results of a citation analysis of the Health Informatics literature. The study takes the health informatics literature as its starting point, looking inward at the IS literature to seek evidence for the impact of IS theories in healthcare environments. A review of 286 references from the Health Informatics discipline confirms findings of earlier studies that the technology acceptance model is the dominant theory in use with some adaptations emerging.

The fundamentals of medical informatics education are described on the basis of the current understanding of its aims and tasks. The use of a system in medical decision making is pointed out together with its basic characteristics. The significance of the introduction of information systems into the health system is presented as well as the perspectives of their further development in the future. The principles of medical informatics education are presented as well as the present situation in medical informatics education in the world and in this country with a view of the future.

Abstract Informatics is the use of information technology, broadly conceived, to advance a domain of work or inquiry. Concerns within informatics divide into system, role, function, workflow, information repository, information tools, standards, and technology. Individual efforts go through four phases: model formulation, system development, system installation, and study of effects. Areas within health sciences informatics include medical informatics, nursing informatics, public health informatics, and statistics informatics.

This paper presents an on-line research in Greek universities websites and an international literature review on electronic learning in the field of Health Informatics. The results reveal that there are a lot of e-learning programs offered by universities in Greece, but unfortunately none of them related to Health Informatics domain. On the other hand, the finding of the international literature shows that other European universities conduct e-learning studies in Health Informatics field. Future actions for the enrichment of e-learning service in Greek Health Informatics education are necessary.

In the paper we mention the trends in medical informatics education and we present the development of medical informatics education in the Czech Republic. The actual situation at Czech faculties giving pregraduate courses covering medical informatics topics is described. The enhanced development of medical informatics education via European cooperation is shown. Finally, new approaches to medical informatics education using Internet and special educational software are mentioned.

Medical informatics is a cross-cutting disciplines with medical science, informatics and management. It has been aroused the attention of professionals that how to realize the sustainable development of medical informatics education. In this paper, we study the teaching objectives and curriculum system combined with the teaching practice, and come up with the characteristic and differentiation strategies which is suitable for the development of medical informatics. To be specific, by implementing differentiation strategies in the development process of medical informatics, combined with electronic information technology, medical knowledge and the practice of medical information. It will be helpful to make health information talents more adapt to the future development, and help to realize development of medical informatics discipline.
