    Based on the water-bearing conditions and oil properties of aging heavy oil in Wangji oilfield, this paper has carried out experimental study of demulsification and dehydration. Through the research, we found that it has difficulty in demulsification and dehydration by only using demulsifiers, but has significant effect in demulsification and dehydration by adding a certain quantity of dehydration additive, FW. Furthermore, we have developed a formula of demulsification and dehydration where the mass ratio for demulsifiers of TY-1, TY-2 and TY-3 is 4:2:1 with total amount of 300 ×10-6, and the adding amount of FW is 4% . With the formula, the dehydration effect is obviously significant.

    Abstract The direction of the dehydration in unsymmetrically substituted dialkylethynylcarbinols has been studied, with the help of infra‐red spectra, for iso butylethynylmethylcarbinol; for comparison, the dehydration of diethylethynylcarbinol has been investigated, in which a non‐conjugated hydrocarbon is one of the dehydration products.

    A glycerol dialkanol triol, similar in structure to glycerol dibiphytanyl glycerol tetraethers but devoid of the carbon atoms of one of the two glycerol termini, has been identified in Messinian sediments (~6 Ma) and characterised using quadrupole ion trap and Fourier transform-ion cyclotron resonance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry.

    Cells of 30 different strains of oral streptococci were grown in a chemically defined medium supplemented with [14C]glycerol to determine their ability to incorporate the labeled glycerol. Of the five species tested, only two, the rat-type strains (Streptococcus rattus) and strains isolated from wild rats (Streptococcus ferus), were able to incorporate the nonfermentable substrate, glycerol. For those strains capable of incorporating glycerol, the amount incorporated ranged from 0.15 to 0.43% of the cellular dry weight and followed simple saturation kinetics. The amount of glycerol incorporated depended solely on the concentration of glycerol in the growth medium. As a result, cultures exposed to low concentrations of glycerol ceased incorporation of the labeled glycerol before cessation of exponential growth.
    Abstract The effects of conventional hot‐air dehydration, dehydro‐freezing and freeze‐dehydration on colour and rehydration of apples, apricots, and peaches were investigated. The freeze‐dehydration process minimised colour changes and promoted retention of the original fruit structure. The rehydration rates of freeze‐dehydrated fruits were more rapid than those associated with other dehydration processes studied.

    Origin and use of glycerol are introduced, preparation methods and research progress of natural glycerol, zymolytic glycerol and synthetic glycerol are reviewed.Glycerol is an imporatant byproduct of oil chemical products, therefore, developing the production and application of glycerol is of great importance to the development of our oil chemistry industry.
