Pyrolysis results are reviewed briefly with the intent of drawing comparisons between open, high pressure, and hydrous pyrolysis. Empirically, the degree of pyrolysis severity to form volatile products in open pyrolysis is similar to that required to form an expelled oil phase in hydrous pyrolysis. The yields of hydrocarbons from open pyrolysis are close to those from hydrous pyrolysis, but hydrous pyrolysis tends to assist the separation of hydrocarbons from polar materials. Pressure has a small but measurable affect on the generation kinetics.

In this paper,a research was carried out on the effect of pyrolysis temperature and holding time on the gas product yield of pyrolysis of lignite when low temperature pyrolysis experiments was carried out on lignite;The paper also presents an analysis of the basic gas compositions under different pyrolysis temperature.The result shows that the yield and component of gas were influenced by the pyrolysis temperature.At the pyrolysis temperature above 300℃,the yield of staggered pyrolysis gas increased with temperature,while the component of gas was dynamic during the pyrolysis.

Bacteroides fragilis was analysed by pyrolysis gas chromatography (PGC). The influence of temperature rise time, pyrolysis temperature and pyrolysis time on the yield of volatile organic pyrolysis products was studied. The use of short pyrolysis time (8 msec) and a high pyrolysis end temperature (1300 degrees C) was found to provide a high yield. In consecutive analyses of the test organism, under the pyrolysis conditions indicated, the standard deviation of the total yield of volatile organic products was +/- 7%. The pyrolysis technique described suggests that few secondary reactions of the pyrolysis fragments occur.

This article presents the results of an experimental study of waste paper pyrolysis in tubular furnace pyrolysis equipment. Pyrolysis of waste paper has been conducted in different pyrolysis temperatures and heating rates to investigate the product distribution and yields of pyrolysis products. The pyrolysis oil was characterized by elemental analysis and various chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques, which are HPLC, 1H NMR, FTIR, and UV. The results of spectroscopic and chromatographic analysis show that there are four main different compounds in bio-oil: anhydrosugars, carboxyl compounds, carbonyl compounds and aromatic compounds.

The effects of temperature and time on the characteristic of pyrolysis products from tobacco stalk,and the characteristics(proximate analysis and heating values) of its products after pyrolysis under different experimental conditions were studied.The pyrolysis time was controlled in 30 min and 60 min with the same temperature from 300 ℃ to 600 ℃.The results showed that higher temperature increased the fixed carbon(FC) content and heating values at first,and get a maximum after 550 ℃.The highest heating value was 28.04 MJ/kg in the test run within 30 min pyrolysis time,and decrease to 27.64 MJ/kg with 60 min pyrolysis time.As the pyrolysis reaction proceeded,volatile content in samples was separated out and the products reduced,the ash content in the products increased accordingly,which led to a decrease in heating value after pyrolysis.The experimental results of pyrolysis within 30 min and 60 min showed that pyrolysis temperature has a more significant effects on the characteristics of products than the pyrolysis time did.
