Nolan(1982:7) shares an interesting concept of spirituality. He says: “The Spiritual life is the whole of one’s life insofar as it is motivated and determined by the Holy Spirit, the spirit of Jesus”. This kind of spirituality shapes persons in such a way that they grow into the concept of Ubuntu (humanness). In other words, an integrated spirituality is a spirituality in which who we are, and what we do are intimately related. The process of an African spiritualist is also developed within the village. Mbiti reminds us that: “It takes a whole village to raise a child” (Mbiti 1977:23). In short, relationship is part of development of African spirituality. This article further explores on how elders within the village become leaders, and towards the end of their life journey, they becomes teachers and good ancestors, especially to younger generation. It is important to note that those who are good (while iving) and are able to pass their knowledge and wisdom to others become good ancestors when they die...

Many different dimensions and definitions of spirituality exist, even within one single religion. Feminists, too, vary widely in their understanding of spirituality, but there is no doubt that the issue of spirituality provides an important focus for the thinking and being of contemporary women. 'Women talk about Spirituality', 'Women's Spirituality Rediscovered', 'Discovering Spirituality for Ourselves', 'In Search of the Feminine' are only some of the titles given to women's workshops and publications in Britain. In the USA the interest is much greater still and began much earlier. Some of this is associated with the so-called free spirituality movement which links women's spirituality with a separate women's culture. There is also the journal Womanspirit, published since 1974, which insists that spirituality is not just the pursuit of a privileged or fringe group but that 'womanspirit lives in the —lives of all women'. It is a matter of women trusting their own experience and evolving their spiritual consciousness, power and strength within and among themselves.

Reformed spirituality as corporate spirituality This article focuses on corporate spirituality from a Reformed perspective and attempts to determine the place of Reformed spirituality in the context of the different traditions and definitions. A short historical overview of different definitions of spirituality is provided and a provisional personal definition is also formulated. In order to differentiate between Reformed spirituality and other manifestations of spirituality, the historical development, theological ratio and different manifestations of spirituality are outlined. From these data a general definition of Reformed spirituality is formulated. The issue of what exactly is meant by corporate spirituality from a Reformed perspective is addressed and the article finally arrives at a conclusion founded on the relevant data.

Abstract Spirituality is coextensive with religion and it is not incompatible with or opposed to science or the scientific outlook. Naturalized spirituality is spirituality without any need for the “other‐worldly.” Spirituality is one of the goals, perhaps the ultimate goal, of philosophy.

The aim of this article is to explore some of the challenges of measuring Christian spiritual development across distinct traditions of Christian spirituality. This presses into questions of what might be universal and what might be particular when it comes to Christian spirituality in how it is understood and practiced. We address the feasibility of a general, ecumenical measure by hearing from representative voices of five traditions of Christian spirituality: African American spirituality, Anglican spirituality, Benedictine spirituality, Pentecostal spirituality, and Reformed spirituality. After noting some of the distinctives of these traditions, we conclude with four strategies for navigating the unity and diversity of Christian spirituality in conceptualizing and measuring Christian formation.

Throughout the history of spirituality, has formed an essential part of the human being and says that He is spiritual in nature, the divine form a fundamental part of his being. In this essay this important issue will land in the spirituality of the Military University from a philosophical part in Heidegger, from the Neuro Science, and from the spirituality of the current Pope Francisco, to reach a general conclusion that the University itself no spirituality or not. To view this spiritual background has been applied to the following questions the interview method, as a means of research for teachers, students, and administrative: Is there spirituality at the University? What is the difference between religion and spirituality? Can you conceive of a spirituality without God? Do atheists have spirituality? Does spirituality is an essential part of being human?
