    Aimed at design of video monitor system,a kind of H.264 video decoding system based on VC.NET is designed.This system consists of video decoding,network deliver and video playing.The video stream is decoded by H.264.The multimedia stream is transported with TCP/IP protocol.The experiment results show that the design meet the requests of the real time video decoding with high video quality.

    The new High Efficiency Video Coding Standard (HEVC) was finalized in January 2013. Compared to its predecessor H.264 / MPEG4-AVC, this new international standard is able to reduce the bitrate by 50% for the same subjective video quality. This paper investigates decoder optimizations that are needed to achieve HEVC real-time software decoding on a mobile processor. It is shown that HEVC real-time decoding up to high definition video is feasible using instruction extensions of the processor while decoding 4K ultra high definition video in real-time requires additional parallel processing. For parallel processing, a picture-level parallel approach has been chosen because it is generic and does not require bitstreams with special indication.

    A GPU multi-video decoding implementation based on VDPAU is presented to solve multi-video display problem. VdpDevice and VdpDecoder is integrated, and the FFmpeg video is decoded with GPU parallel processing. The experimental results show that the CPU utilization is greatly reduced and the multi-video decoding processing scheme based on VDPAU can greatly improve the ability of video decoding.

    The design of AVS real-time software decoder system based on PNX1500 platform are introduced. The system can decode the standard-definition video sequences IPBB(720×576). The decoding speed can be 25 f/s, and well meet the real time decoding requirements.

    In this paper, we researched the hardware- decoding based on DXVA and OpenCL which using a encoded image inH.264 as an example. We designed a hardware decoding process using DXVA2 and the OpenCL API, and we got the testing data toverify the possible solutions.

    According to the algorithm of AVS audio and video decoding standard, this paper proposes a proposal of AVS decoding based on SoC method. This method can reduce the complexity of AVS decoder effectively. Using the hardware and software co-design ideas can reduce the difficulty of designing a decoder while improving the flexibility of decoding.

    The decoding process and technical character of AVS-M are introduced. The AVS-M decoder is redesigned according to wm2.5a reference code, and a few methods of optimization about memory, structure and algorithm are given. Experimental results show that the decoding rate is improved to 12~30 times.
