Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of surgical acute abdomen, respectively, for different age groups of the acute abdomen symptoms and signs for analysis, and the incidence of the disease on the surgical acute abdomen pose than a summarized. Methods In our hospital from January 2001 to January 2010 surgical acute abdomen 1000 cases treated, including 431 cases of acute appendicitis,298 cases of gallstones,cholecystitis,151 patients,67 patients with gastric perforation,53 cases of urinary calculi.Separately for different age groups of the acute abdomen symptoms and signs for analysis, and the incidence of the disease on the surgical acute abdomen pose than a summarized. Results Surgical acute abdomen common major diseases, acute appendicitis, gallstones, cholecystitis, gastric perforation, urinary stones,of which the most common acute appendicitis, and other diseases, the difference was significant(P0.05 or P0.01).And the different age groups difference between the clinical symptoms and signs were significantly(P0.05).Conclusion Reduce the mortality of acute abdomen should be emphasized that the timely diagnosis, timely and correct treatment, the course of disease closely monitored and observed the coexistence of disease and complications of active treatment, and effective support of organ function is still the treatment of acute abdomen in the main components.

We present a case of a 28-year-old male who presented with acute abdomen and was later diagnosed to be having ruptured intra-abdominal seminoma with hemoperitoneum, where the pre-operative diagnosis was not made. Laprotomy and complete excision were carried out. Rupture of intra-abdominal testicular seminoma is a rare cause of acute abdomen and hemoperitoneum. The pre-operative diagnosis is often difficult because history of cryptorchidism is not provided and imaging findings may be non-specific. In a male patient with acute abdomen and without previous history of orchidectomy, a testicular aetiology of acute abdomen should be kept as the differential diagnosis.

Acute abdominal pain is a major clinical symptom of acute abdomen, and vasogenic acute abdomen caused by vascular diseases is rare and difficult to diagnose at its early stage with atypical clinical symptom and high mortality. Therefore, there is an urgent need to strengthen and improve the knowledge of surgeons about vasogenic acute abdomen.

[Abdominal pain in the differential diagnosis of acute abdomen-- common imitators of acute abdomen].
The authors analysed abdominal pains in diagnosis of acute abdomen, and the importance of that problem for the beginning of therapy in time. Here were elaborated the anamnestic, symptomatologic, diagnostic and differential diagnostic details, which make sure the recognition of acute abdomen and an early diagnosis of this state. The numerous data, rightly interpreted, enable an early diagnosis of acute abdomen, also by the general practitioner who is the first to meet those patients. We reported especially cases who imitate acute abdomen. These diseases are very important in differential diagnosis of acute abdomen. Both doctors, the general practitioner and the clinical one, have a big responsibility for an early recognition of the disease, in order to be able to do the in time and prognostically good surgical therapy.

Objective To investigate the vale of MSCT in diagnosis of cause of acute abdomen. Methods 137 cases with acute abdomen by MSCT were analyzed retrospectively. Results MSCT have a higher accuracy to diagnosis the acute abdomen. The area of the diseases were discovered and among 137 cases the cases corresponding to the clinical diagnosis were 119,the diagnostic accuracy was 86.8%.Conclusion MSCT is a rapid、simple imaging technique with high diagnostc accuracy. It is most effective image diagnosis method in acute abdomen. It plays an important role in clinical diagnosis and treatment of acute abdomen.
