Abstract:
:unavAt a continuous transition into a non-unique absorbing state, particle systems may exhibit non-universal critical behaviour, in apparent violation of hyperscaling. We propose a generalized scaling theory for dynamic critical behaviour at a transition to an absorbing state, which is capable of describing exponents which vary according to the initial configuration. The resulting hyperscaling relation is supported by simulations of two lattice models.

Biased diffusion on hierarchical comb structures is studied within an exact renormalisation group scheme. The scaling exponents of the moments of the first-passage time for random walks are obtained. It is found that the scaling properties of the diffusion depend only on the direction of bias. In a particular case, the presence of bias may give rise to a new multifractality.

Abstract We study the scaling of the average cluster size and percolation strength of geometrical clusters for the two-dimensional Ising model. By means of Monte Carlo simulations and a finite-size scaling analysis we discuss the appearance of corrections to scaling for different definitions of cluster sets. We find that including all percolating clusters, or excluding only clusters that percolate in one but not the other direction, leads to smaller corrections to scaling for the average cluster size as compared to the other definitions considered. The percolation strength is less sensitive to the definitions used.

Abstract Probability distributions of resistances in disordered electronic systems are studied, by means of a real-space scaling transformation, and scaling properties of the distributions are discussed. In the weak scattering limit the results confirm single-parameter scaling in the sense that any initial distribution scales, under change of scale, towards a universal distribution characterized by one parameter only.

Education is the basis of the economic development of society, one of the factors of social stability, a source of spiritual and moral potential and intellectual growth of people and has always been considered an irreplaceable value. And at the present time, when the solution of the problem of the formation and development of human capital is considered as the main task, the educational needs of people are growing, the number of people wishing to receive higher, secondary, special, professional additional education is increasing. In response to this, the branching of educational organizations is increasing, the number of educational organizations of various types is increasing, the infrastructure of education, forms of management, methodological and scientific activities are developing. Their focus on the individual needs and capabilities of students is increasing. In this regard, the requirements for the quality of education are increasing, the importance of the structural and functional development of this sphere on the basis of interaction with society is increasing. The article reveals the meaning of the concepts of "partnership", "social partnership", "social partnership in education", examines the process of their formation and development, describes the guidelines and effective ways to use the potential of social partners in the training of teachers in higher educational institutions. Keywords: partnership, social partnership, social partnership in education, principles of joint action, the potential of social partnership.

For percolating systems, we propose a universal exponent relation connecting the leading corrections to scaling of the cluster size distribution with the dynamic corrections to the asymptotic transport behaviour at criticality. Our derivation is based on a cluster-resolved scaling theory unifying the scaling of both the cluster size distribution and the dynamics of a random walker. We corroborate our theoretical approach by extensive simulations for a site percolating square lattice and numerically determine both the static and dynamic correction exponents.

We report a numerical analysis of corrections to finite size scaling at the Anderson transition due to irrelevant scaling variables and nonlinearities of the scaling variables. By taking proper account of these corrections, the universality of the critical exponent for the orthogonal universality class for three different distributions of the random potential is convincingly demonstrated.

We realize an extensive numerical study of the Naming Game model with a noise term which accounts for perturbations. This model displays a non-equilibrium phase transition between an absorbing ordered consensus state, which occurs for small noise, and a disordered phase with fragmented clusters characterized by heterogeneous memories, which emerges at strong noise levels. The nature of the phase transition is studied by means of a finite-size scaling analysis of the moments. We observe a scaling behavior typical of a discontinuous transition and we are able to estimate the thermodynamic limit. The scaling behavior of the clusters size seems also compatible with this kind of transition.

The authors present a simple model that simulates the dynamics of the long flexible self-associating polymer chains immersed in water and develop a dynamical scaling description for the cluster size distribution function for irreversible aggregation. Each chain may have one or several functional groups at each end that can associate with one another. They find that the chain length is a new scaling variable that appears explicitly in the scaling function. The validity of their scaling predictions is confirmed by extensive computer simulations.

We apply and test the recently proposed 'extended scaling' scheme in an analysis of the magnetic susceptibility of Ising systems above the upper critical dimension. The data are obtained by Monte Carlo simulations using both the conventional Wolff cluster algorithm and the Prokof'ev–Svistunov worm algorithm. As already observed for other models, extended scaling is shown to extend the high-temperature critical scaling regime over a range of temperatures much wider than that achieved conventionally. It allows for an accurate determination of leading and sub-leading scaling indices, critical temperatures and amplitudes of the confluent corrections.
