Objective:To investigate trace elements in herb and carbonic herb of Oxytropis falcata.Methods:Oxytropis falcata herb and its carbonic herb were extracted in water decocting.Subsequently,the content of eleven elements was determined and compared by Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry(ICP-AES).Results:After being processed,the content of calcium in Oxytropis falcata carbonic herb increased,while those of other ten elements investigated all decreased in different degrees.Conclusion:After being processed,the content of eleven elements in Oxytropis falcata changed markedly.

With Chinese medicinal herb and microecologics added in the feedstuff,the AA chicken at the age of 15 days were fed on different additive levels within four weeks.The concentration of NH3 in the henhouses were determined by visible spectrophotometry.There were one control group and eight test groups :the first who was the control group,the second added Chinese medicinal herb at the level of 150 mg/kg,the third 220 mg/kg,the forth 300 mg/kg,the fifth 400 mg/kg,the sixth added microecologics at the level of 0.5 g/kg,the seventh 1.0 g/kg,the eighth 3.0 g/kg and the ninth added at the level of Chinese medicinal herb 300 mg/kg and microecologics 3 g/kg.And we could compare the concentration of NH3 in the henhouses with ANOVO of biostatistics.The consequence indicated that the group of second,third,forth,fifth,eighth,ninth means difference significantly compared with the first one(P0.01),but the group of eighth,ninth was better.In a word,Chinese medicinal herb and microecologics could make the concentration of NH3 in the henhouses lower and make the environment to a high degree improve.

Objective:To compare the polysaccharides content in medicinal dendrobum herb of different collection period.Methods:Coarse polysaccharides in medicinal dendrobum herb were assayed with spectrophotography in different collection period.Results:The polysaccharides content in medicinal dendrobum herb collected in different collection period were 4.59%,5.37%,5.92%,6.24%,respectively.Conclusions:Winter is the best collection period for medicinal dendrobum herb.

Changes in plant constituents are genuine and important parameters to study in current era. Herbs can sense atmospheric variations to grow as per conditions. All herbs show presence of internal system to respond according to weather, temperature, rainfall, soil conditions and day length. Good quality medicines require proper harvesting of herbs. Currently all over the world, peoples suffered glycemic imbalance, an endocrine and metabolic disorder. Herbs are useful for cure from hundreds of years. Baelpatra, a medicinal plant, is used in ayurveda to cure hyperglycemia. The aim of study is to check changes in aegelin content in Bael, Aegle marmelos plant material obtained from authenticated source. Highest percentage of ethanol extract with higher concentration of aegelin was obtained in the winter season.

Recently, people have studied ingredient and mechanism of chinese medicinal herb through advanced technique and means. It discovers that much chinese medicinal herb as well as its purification has antihypoxia action on economy, Furthermore its effect is permanent and steady, toxicity and side-effect is little. Thereby, chinese medicinal herb has been a new field of health care foodstuff on Anti-Hypoxia. Nine medicinal plants known to be the ingredients of the traditional herbal medicinal elixir, and seven popular commercial alcoholic herb elixirs were investigated for the content of dicumarol by using high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) and thin layer chromatography (TLC) methods. Umbelliferae (Conioselinum Univittatum) were the only medicinal plants found to contain dicumarol 0.04 mg/dl. Dicumarol content was also found in three out of seven brands of commercial alcoholic herb elixirs with the concentration of 0.58, 1.86 and 6.00 mg/dl. These findings indicated that the traditional herbal medicinal elixirs containing dicumarol in varying amount may play a role in inducing bleeding diathesis in breast-fed infants of mothers known to consume the elixir.

Abstract: The use of herbs, for health. Herbs are plants that can be used as drugs both leaves, stems, or roots. Herbs is partly used by the community for traditional or alternative medicine. Besides, the herb also has the advantage, that does not have side effects, treatment can be carried out by family members sendiri.Tanaman is an alternative herbal treatment that has been done by the people of Indonesia have traditionally. The successful use of herbal plants is strongly influenced by people's knowledge about the benefits of each type of medicinal plants, especially herbs that have been studied empirically. It is also influenced by how the use of each herb for a variety of different diseases. This study aims to determine the use of herbs for health. This research method is descriptive, with a sample of 53 respondents drawn by simple random sampling technique. The data collection conducted direct interviews with respondents and the open-air observation. Research instrument used was a questionnaire. The result showed that all respondents had been using herbs for health. The conclusion of this study was the use of herbs for health still needs to be improved further by providing the knowledge, awareness, willingness and ability of thecommunity.

To investigate the effect of Chinese medicinal herb feed additives Zengzhongling on gowth performance and the content of GH,T_(3),T_(4)in the serum of growing pigs,30 growing pigs(20 kg initially) were divided into control group(no additive),treatment group Ⅰ(1% Chinese medicinal herb feed additives) and treatment group Ⅱ(2% Chinese medicinal herb feed additives).The results showed that comparing to control group,the treatment group Ⅰand group Ⅱwere increased 20.1%(P0.05)and 27.6%(P(0.01))of the weight gain per pig perday,19.9%(P0.05)and 23.8%(P0.05)of the food efficiency,(3.7%)(P0.05)and 23%(P0.05)of the content of GH,28.5%(P0.05)and 36.1%(P0.01) of the content of T_(3),19.3% and 32.8% of the content of T_(4),respectively.The results indicated that the effect of theZengzhonglingon improving growing performance perhaps though the system of internal secretion.
