    Abstract:
    In current study, the formation of static thick deposits during cold spraying of AlSi10Mg aluminum alloy powder on 2017A and DC04 substrates is considered. It is shown that bigger particles are mostly making the deposit and are more attracted to the top of each deposit The speed of construction of the deposit is determined showing a maximum at the beginning of spraying and a quick decrease after a few seconds due to the decrease of the angle of impact between surface and particles. In consequence, deposition efficiency is also maximal at the beginning and is strongly decreased as the deposit grows.

    The change of water silt condition and operation regulation will have a great influence on the deposition in Qingyanzi reach.The field data after the reservoir impounding and the previous studies of feasibility stage show that the locations of sediment deposition are not changed,while the quantity and area of deposition are reduced.In this work,a two-dimensional model that is calibrated by the field data after reservoir impounding is used to simulate the influence on the deposition caused by the changes in water silt condition.The calculation results show that the deposition in 1960s agrees with the previous studies,while the quaitity and area of deposition in 1990s are reduced and river pattern transformation is postponed until 1990s.Along with more reservioirs completed in the upstream,the deposition rate is further decreased relative to that in 1990s,but river pattern trasnformation still occurs.The changes in water silt conditions only cause a change in deposition rate,while the deposition location and the trend of morphology evolution are not changed.A navigation difficulty could still appear in the locations of main flow translocation with the lateral branch.

    The paper is based on PLC plasma deposition of Fe-base powder,the factors influencing the deposition layer appearance by deposition current、deposition speed and powder feed speed were researched,the infect disciplinarian was mastered and the mechanism was analyzed.The conclusion as follows: Along with the deposition current increasing,the deposition speed decreased and the powder feed speed increased,the wide of the layer increased along with the deposition current increased,the deposition speed increased and the powder feed speed decreased,and the height of layer decreased.

    In the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) process, the choice of deposition strategy plays an important role. In this paper, the effects of different deposition paths on this deposition based LM process are investigated. Some variations on the current deposition strategies are also proposed. The stiffness of parts manufactured by the different strategies is experimentally determined. It is then compared with an analytical model developed using laminate analysis. A good conformance of the laminate model to the experimental results suggests that the laminate model can be used as a design aide to help the designer tailor the deposition strategy to the stiffness requirements.

    Alveolar deposition fractions (respirability) of inhaled fibers in rats, hamsters, and humans were calculated based on previously developed deposition models. Because of differences in airway size and ventilation condition, humans were found to have a greater deposition fraction than rodents. Nevertheless, the deposition curve (alveolar deposition fraction vs fiber aerodynamic diameter) for all species has a similar shape which exhibits two peak deposition values. Increasing the aspect ratio or decreasing the mass density of the fiber shifts the deposition curve to lower aerodynamic diameters and reduces the values of peak deposition. For fiber aerodynamic diameters greater than 3.5 microns and aspect ratios greater than 10, rodents were found to have no alveolar deposition, whereas the human deposition remains appreciable.

    The deposition of a very fine powder in a horizontal, lean-phase pneumatic conveying conduit containing a 90° bend has been studied experimentally. The total deposition and the deposition pattern were studied as a function of superficial gas velocity, solids loading and bend geometry: one sharp and three smooth bends of different radii of curvature were used. Most deposition was seen in the sharp bend, while in the smooth bends the deposition did not vary much with radius of curvature. The deposition decreased significantly with increasing superficial gas velocity. The experimental results were compared with CFD simulations of the flow field. The observations are consistent with the notion of deposition in regions with low near-wall gas velocity, indicating that models for deposition should be sought in considerations of the deposit stability for this type of system.

    In the present work, we studied the dust deposition characteristics on suspended insulators under the simulated sandstorm conditions in a laboratory. Based on the simulation experiments, the basic dust deposition and distribution characteristics were studied, such as the difference of deposition among sheds at different locations, the difference of deposition between large and small sheds, the relationship between deposition quantity and flow speed of air and dust as well as the relationship between deposition quantity and experimental duration. Our study provides important insights for more advanced studies on this topic in the future.

    To predict particle deposition in axial compressor cascades, a new particle deposition was developed. Particle deposition was studied by partial deposition model and entireness deposition model. The calculation results showed the two models have large effect on the deposition at the leading edge. Using part deposition model, the phenomenon of a great deal of particle deposition at the leading edge during very short period disappeared while particle deposition appeared relatively even deposition.
