    Abstract:
    This chapter will review the process of troubleshooting to assist the user in understanding how to try and resolve problems when working with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry systems. Before diving into troubleshooting, ensure the previous chapters of this book have been read and understood. A thorough understanding of the fundamentals of how the instruments works is important when troubleshooting. Ensuring the method is properly developed and maintained will reduce the likelihood of problems.

    Open-Domain Question Answering (ODQA) is a technique for finding an answer to a given query from a large set of documents. In this paper, we present an experimentation study to compare ODQA candidate solutions in the context of troubleshooting documents. We mainly focus on a well known open-source framework which is called Haystack. This framework comprises two key components which are the Retriever and the Reader. The Haystack Framework comes with several Retriever-Reader combinations and the choice of the best one is still unanswered till now. In this paper, we conduct an experimentation study to compare different Retriever-Reader combinations. Our aim is to come up with the best combination of components in regard to the speed and the processing power within the context of troubleshooting queries.

    The use of digital forensics tools has become common in typical crime investigations involving computing and communication devices. As with any evidence in criminal investigations, the preservation of digital evidence is of critical importance for the success of the investigation. Cryptographic Hash Functions (CHFs) are used by digital forensic tools to ensure the preservation of digital evidence during the acquisition and analysis of evidence. These tools make the use of the CHFs during the acquisition process to ensure that the created image of the evidence is accurate. The CHFs that are currently in use are serial in nature and can be time consuming when working with the large data sets. We propose a new parallel CHF transformation to speed up the image creation process by a factor of 6.5 over existing methods. We discuss the use of the parallel algorithm in the image creation process and compare the results with the existing sequential methods.

    State-of-the-art in-suit process monitoring and control for additive manufacturing (AM) is getting more attention in pursuit of improving the quality of AM products. Moreover, the advanced manufacturing system of Industry 4.0 comprises a large number of data collecting and feedback units to operate it functionally. They are interconnected with machines, control units and computing devices. The working of these devices needs to be understood by the end-users to understand their function as well as their troubleshooting. As these devices are new in the manufacturing workplaces, their breakdown may lead to several losses in productivity when they malfunction while in operation. This paper deals with various in situ process monitoring and control devices such as vision sensors, thermal sensors and acoustic sensors used in various research and development for metal additive manufacturing (MAM). In situ monitoring in AM could help in process parameters optimization, defect detections, troubleshooting of machine parts, temperature monitoring, residual stress control, process improvement, etc. Moreover, instruments used in in situ process monitoring also help in the collection of a huge amount of data required for applying artificial intelligence (AI) in AM. AI can further help in improving the process capabilities of AM by improving the accuracy and providing real-time monitoring and control of process parameters.

    The replay of the application's behavior is essential to the protocol design,network troubleshooting,performance evaluation and network management.It is important to develop a simple and powerful method to implement the replay of the application's behavior which is complicated along with the appearance of new applications.Based on the detailed analysis of the most of all the typical replay-methods and frameworks related to the application's behavior,it gives a new replay-method based on template which is rely on the systemic classification of all the application's behaviors.As the presentation of the experimental results,using the method,it reduces the complexity of building a repay-system of application behavior,especially when adding new applications into the replay-system.
